It feels like spring! Both soil and nighttime air temperatures are warming up. April and May are the best months for planting heat-loving vegetables – Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Eggplant, Squash and Melons. New Vegetables and Herbs are arriving weekly. We have an amazing selection of Heirloom Tomatoes as well as Classic Hybrid favorites. So let’s get to it! Don’t forget to amend your soil and use a good pre-plant fertilizer.

Beans, Corn, Cucumber, Eggplant, Melons, Summer Squash, Tomatoes. It is best to wait for May to put in Pumpkins.
Continue to plant: Leaf Lettuce and Chard
Best from Seed: Beets, Carrots, Radishes and Turnips.
Perennial Crops: Artichokes and Strawberries
Herbs
Basil, Cilantro, Chervil, Chives, Chamomile, Oregano, Marjoram, Mint, Thyme, Parsley, etc.
Trees
Citrus and Avocadoes may be planted now.
Stone fruits: (Peaches, Plums etc.) Apples and other Deciduous Fruit Trees are in our stores as well.
This may be the year to add a subtropical such as Pineapple Guava to your edible garden.
